Hi – Your Deal or No Deal was a big hit on our vacation. It helped us pass the time in the car and in some of our cabins which had limited tv selections. The adults enjoyed it as much as the kids. thank you

There has been recently so much talk with the game show industry lately. Mainly from Drew Carey lately, who was declared as the new host of The Price Is Right, to N’Sync singer Joey Fatone who has had surprising success on The Spelling Bee, game shows are making a comeback. Howie Mandel knows that success quite well. Since he started hosting Deal Or No Deal, the game show has been an phenomenon that continues to surprise viewers everywhere. the game show has been released before as a home version on DVD, on the computer and now it is making its handheld debut on the DS. Is this a good deal, or a sore lemon the banker made for fans?
Deal Or No Deal for the Nintendo DS takes the smash NBC hit show to gamers who want a little gaming action on the go. The gameplay is very simple, you have to draw your case from a group of 26, trying to find the one that has $1,000,000. As you play, the banker makes outrageous offers at you to sell your case. The graphics aren’t really as spectacular unlike the P.C. version, and you really don’t see the models as well, but the gameplay really keeps longtime fans guessing, with simple control. The music and the feel of the game isn’t so bad, as it makes you feel like you’re really playing. Sadly though, it just doesn’t measure up with so much deal in the stores, many may feel better with something a bit more exciting.
All in all, I really was expecting much more with Deal Or No Deal on the Nintendo DS than what was available. While there are just too many versions of Deal Or No Deal for home, you’re definitely better off with the one for the computer, or just watching the show and see Howie do his magic on the air. This unfortunately is a deal you’ll just have to pass up.

I bought this as a gift for my husband’s 12 year old sister. She seemed excited to get it and enjoys playing it. No first hand experience, though.
