I’ve tried the Baby Bjorn and an Aprica carrier… and this is the best one! You can wear it in the front, on the back and even to the side! The back support is my main reason for liking the product.Toting around my 25 lb 1 yr old was giving me back pain. It’s also very easy to use~ I bought my Ergo right before my trip to Japan and it was a life saver— everything from carrying baby on the plane when he would get fussy to carrying him everywhere we went on our trip… I definately recommend this product!!!

I got this to use on the subway and trips where the stroller just isn’t easy to take. Since it has gotten frigid outside I have not been using the Ergo as it is not easy to keep my daughter in the Ergo with her coat on. In general the product works well I do have a problem of the sunshade coming out regardless of how I put it in the pouch. I also received the fanny pack attachment as a gift and when it is warm it makes moving with my daughter easy. More comfortable than any other carrier or sling I have used. My daughter is approximately 22lbs.

I’ve been using my Ergo for my daughter since she was born 2.5 years ago, and I just realized I had never even written a review for it. It’s seriously the only baby item I really need. I used it literally every single day for the first 15 months or so. I still carry her often on my back at 27lbs. We use it on the bus and train and for air travel, and basically anywhere that’s too far for her to walk where a stroller would be impractical. When I travel by plane, she rides in the Ergo so I can prop the carseat on the stroller and have my hands free. Maybe there are better carriers out there now, but I did my research back in ‘07 when I bought this one and am glad I didn’t waste my money on a Bjorn or anything else. My Ergo has paid for itself 100 times over.

I purchased this right before Christmas. It arrived quickly and I was very satisfied. I took on a two hour day trip away from home and was very satisfied. I was able to use the sleep hood when the baby fell asleep (although, my hands were cold so i had someone else snap in the second side). Anyway, the Ergo is easy to use. I love the color and the baby loves it. In the cold weather i wear a hooded sweatshirt over the ergo, zip in, and then I have my winter jacket over that and i feel the baby is perfecty warm. She does like to play with the straps, so the bite pads maynot be a bad idea, but they don’t come in the same color.

I adore the Ergo, and we got the chocolate brown, which is a little more neutral than a lot of the colors. I am not too strong and I can carry our daughter (now 8 months) for several hours at a time with few complaints. She takes great naps in the Ergo and the fabric is extremely durable.
I will say I was not a fan of the infant insert, but my husband was. You have to kind of wrap the baby up like a burrito and I was worried constantly about squishing her. He used it all the time and loved it though, so it’s obviously a personal thing. Perhaps with the next baby I will be more relaxed, but when my daughter was tiny I mostly used a hand-me-down Bjorn (the original model) but it KILLED my shoulders once the baby broke 10 pounds.
Go Ergo! And I love that we’ll be able to use it for quite some time.
